The third book of the tetralogy about the Rabbit - "Rabbit is Rich" was printed in 1981. In his work John Updike follows the life of Harry "Rabbit" Angstrom, who is a typical and normal resident of a provincial town. In "Rabbit Is Rich" the Rabbit had submitted to his life and become a successful businessman, a father, a husband and a golfer. His well-being and sex are now his two main values. His prior search for the meaning of life is not of any importance to him anymore.
